The Spring Weekend in Whitby, north east Yorkshire, was held in fine weather over the weekend of 25-27th April, 2003.  Around forty members gathered for the Saturday evening dinner at the Saxonville Hotel in Whitby, where most of the visitors were staying.  A coach tour across the moors on the Saturday, ably led by Doreen Newson, finished with a pub lunch at Robin Hood Bay, a few miles south of Whitby.  Three Chevening scholars attended the event as guests of the British Friends of Vanuatu.
